COMRADE STANLEY R. STEPPINGS

Comrade Stan joined the R.C.A.F. in 1941 as a Firefighter. During WW2 he took part in the invasion of Normandy. He recently recieved a medal from the Holland Goverment which was designed to show gratitude to the Canadian servicemen who were responsible for their liberation. Comrade Stan was D/Firechief at CFB Greenwood from 1959 to 1963. Retired from Cornwallis as Fire Chief Inspector and now living in Kingston,N.S. Br.98 ,Kingston Legion is proud to present Comrade Steppings as "VETERAN OF THE MONTH" for March /2003
