COMRADE JAMES GLOVER

 

 

Comrade Glover joined the RCN at HMCS Carleton in Ottawa, Ontario in Aug of 1951.  After completing his basic training at HMCS Cornwallis he would complete his Radio Communicator Course at “Maggie” in Sept 1952.   He was then transferred to HMCS Huron in 1953 where he would complete a tour in Korea.  After arriving back in Halifax he was drafted to Naval Radio Station Albro Lake where he would complete his naval service in Aug of 1956.

 

            In Nov 56, Comrade Glover joined the R.C.A.F. where he would be posted to various bases throughout Canada, which include Whitehorse and Torbay, Newfoundland.  After retiring from the RCAF in 1976 he would continue his career with Canada Post  eventually retiring in Greenwood in 1995  .  Branch 98 is proud to have Comrade Glover as Veteran of the Month for January 2005.
