COMRADE JAMES DESMOND

Comrade Jim started his basic training in Sussex and completed in Camp Gagetown N.B. Next he went to Aldershot, N.S. and joined the 1^st Battalion Royal Highlander Regiment of Canada,”The Black Watch”.

Jim served a four year tour in Germany with the Black Watch. Comrade Jim remustered to the Service Corps as Driver and served in Cyprus and Egypt with UN Peacekeeping and S.H.A.P.E. in Brussels,CFS Alsask,Sask and CFB Greenwood for 10 yrs.Comrade Jim has served on several committees in Branch 98 and served for 5yrs .as President he is a Life Member and has received the MSM and Clasp, the higest award presented by the Legion. Branch 98 Kingston Legion is proud to present Comrade Desmond as “VETERAN OF THE MONTH”. Now retired and living in Greenwood with wife Linda
