Comrade Gerald Jansen

Comrade Jansen joined the R.C.A.F in 1953 as an M&W Technician and would complete his trades training one year later.  He was then transferred to Rockcliffe, Ontario and was eventually transferred to 3 Wing in Germany.  While in Europe, Comrade Jansen completed two six week tours in Rabat, North Africa.  In 1957 he was posted to Greenwood to work on the Neptune and Argus aircraft.  In 1964 he was posted to Chatham, N.B. where he worked on Voodoos and Sabres.  Finally in 1975 Comrade Jansen was posted back to Greenwood where he would retire in 1980.  Branch 98 is proud to present Comrade Jansen as “VETERAN OF THE MONTH” for January, 2010.
