COMRADE RODNEY (ROD) CHUBBS, CD1

Comrade Chubbs enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1979 as a Military Policeman. After completing his QL3 course he was posted to CFB Calgary where shortly thereafter he was deployed on a UN Peace Keeping tour in Cyprus. In 1983 he was posted to CFB Cornwallis where he met and married his wife Margie. In 1989 he was posted to Baden-Soellingen and four years later he was posted to Goose Bay, Labrador. In 1996 he was posted to C.M.B.G. Military Police Platoon Petawawa where he would train and deploy to such places as Africa and Bosnia. In Aug of 2001 he was once again posted to Goose Bay until he was posted to 14 Wing in 2007 as MP Detachment MWO. In Jan of 2009, Comrade Chubbs was deployed to Afghanistan as the International M.P. Company Sgt-Major and was also appointed the Canadian Element COMKAF H.Q. Sgt-Major. Branch 98 is proud to present Comrade Chubbs as “VETERAN OF THE MONTH” for December /2009
