Comrade
Red Pigeon joined the R.C.A.F. in 1967 as an Airframe Technician. After recruit
training he was transferred to Bagotville,
Quebec where he served with 433
ETAC Squadron as a tech on the CF-5. After
remustering to Flight Engineer in 1978, Red served on various aircraft
throughout the CF which included the Single Huey at Base Rescue Bagotville, Twin
Huey at 430 Sqn Valcartier, CP-140 Aurora at 415 and 405 Sqn Greenwood, and the
CC-130 Hercules at 435 Sqn Edmonton. After 37 years of dedicated service to the
Canadian Forces, Comrade Pigeon retired in the Kingston area with his wife
Claire where they’ve called home since 1994.
Comrade Pigeon has served on several committees and held several
Executive positions at Branch 98 which included Branch President in 2005. Kingston Legion Br. 98 is proud to present
