COMRADE BUD YEOMANS

Comrade Bud was born in Halifax in 1926. He was a Sea Cadet in his youth and joined the Navy in 1944. He served as an Able Seaman at: Haligonian, Donacona, Cornwallis, Scotian, Avalon, Protector, and Nirobe. Dring this time he was on the Elk, Northwind, Peterborough and Warrior. He was honorably discharged in June 1946 at Halifax. In 1946 he joined the Halifax Fire Department where he stayed until 1953 at which time he joined the military, this time the R.C.A.F. as a fire fighter. He was stationed at Clinton, MacDonald, Portage La Prairie, North Bay, Goose Bay, Greenwood, Armstrong, Moosinee, Shearwater, and Greenwood again where he retired as a Sgt. In 1975.
