COMRADE EUGENE {BUCK} ROGERS

Comrade Rogers served with the Nova Scotia Regiment {Milita} 1945-47 and was stationed at Camp Aldershot. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy {air arm} in 1949 and took his basic training at HMCS Naden, Victoria B.C. He served on the Magnificent and Bonaventure and instructed Ground Search & Rescue, Land & Sea Survival. Prior to release from the regular force he served at CFB Greenwood as the Base Technical Services Officer. On release from the Regular Force he then transferred to Class{C} and served at Cadet Headquarters Maritime Atlantic as Area Cadet Officer. In 1994 Comrade Buck retired after serving 44 plus yrs and was subsequently awarded the third clasp to the Canadian Forces Decoration. He also holds the Special Services Medal with Nato Bar and the Queens Jubilee Medal. Kingston Legion is proud to present Comrade Rogers as "VETERAN OF THE MONTH" Jan./2006
