COMRADE ART LEDUC
Comrade
Art Leduc enrolled in the Royal Canadian Air Force {RCAF} in Sept of 1961.
After serving for over 36 years, he
retired in January of 1997. This retirement was short lived because in
March of the same year he came out of retirement and accepted the position of
14 Wing Greenwood Air Cadet Camp Chief Warrant Officer where, to this date, is
still serving, giving him a total of 44 years plus of dedicated service.
Comrade
Leduc served across Canada with two tours in Europe at CFB Lahr and a
Peace Keeping Tour in Ismailia, Egypt. He has been a member of
the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#98 since 1990 and is very active with the
Legion’s “Meals on Wheels” and is the Branch Rep. For the 517 Air Cadet
Squadron. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of
Veterans in United Peacekeeping and holds the secretary position for
the West Kings Arena Association Board of Directors. His contribution was
recently recognized when he was selected as “Volunteer of the Month”
March/2005 by the Regional Cadet Support Unit Atlantic.
He has been
married to his lovely wife Barbara for over 33 yrs. and are blessed and
extremely proud of their two sons Shane{33yrs}in Calgary,Alta. And
Jason{30yrs}in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA.
