COMRADE JOSEPH GERARD HUDON
HUDON,
Joseph Gerard "Gerry" - 84, Middleton, passed away on Friday,
September 19, 2008, in the Veterans Unit at
Soldiers
Memorial
Hospital
, Middleton. Born in River Ouelle, Que., he was a son of the late Emile and
Marie-Jeanne (Dionne) Hudon. Gerry served with the Royal Canadian Air force
during the Second World War and the Korean Conflict. After retiring from
service he was employed by DND in
Greenwood
for 23 years. Gerry was an avid gardener and shuffleboard player he also had a
great love for animals. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch
No. 1, Middleton and the R.C.A.F.A. 107 Valley Wing,
Greenwood
. Gerry is survived by his wife, Bertha (Patton); daughters, Pamillia,
Middleton; Kristell Chapplain (Michael Collins),
Truro
; grandchildren, Eddie (Savanna Harker),
Alberta
; Andrea, Middleton; and several nieces and nephews. Gerry's last remaining
brother passed away the same day, leaving him predeceased by five brothers and
two sisters, as well as son-in-law, Greg Chapplain. Cremation has taken place.
A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute conducted by Middleton Branch No. 1 RCL,
followed by a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 23 in
the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, Rev. Deacon Don
Boudreau officiating, Interment will be held at a later date. Donations in
memory can be made to the Veterans Unit,
