COMRADE JOSEPH BERNARD LEE

LEE, Bernard Joseph - 79, Greenwood , passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital , Middleton. Born in Glace Bay , he was a son of the late Thomas and Ethel (Rushton) Lee. Bernard retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, 14 Wing Greenwood after 32 years of service. Previous to his posting at Greenwood , he served at bases in London , England ; Baden , Germany , and Trenton , Ont. He was a member of the Kingston Branch No. 98, Royal Canadian Legion and being an avid golfer, he was also a member of Paragon Golf and Country Club, Kingston . Surviving are his wife, the former Kathleen "Kay" Wallace; sons, Tom (Ronda), Lower Sackville, and Bernie (Margaret), Halifax; sister, Anna Ervin, Glace Bay, as well as brothers, Fred (Marie) Lee, Glace Bay, and Herbert (Betty) Lee, Wetaskiwin, Alta. He was predeceased by brother, Nelson. Cremation has taken place and by request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, in St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, Middleton, Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiating. Interment will take place in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston , followed by a reception in St. Monica's Parish Hall. Please, family flowers only.
