1.   The Sports Chairperson must be interested in sports and good sportsmanship and have a good knowledge of Legion affairs.

2.  Must be prepared to answer questions concerning the rules and regulations of the various Legion sports events.

3.  Organize and oversee the Branch's various sports events and make decisions and settle debates in a diplomatic manner.

4.  Must strive to acquire the confidence of the Membership and be able to create interest and enthusiasm in various sports.

5.  Must be prepared to assist the Zone or Provincial or Dominion Sports Officer in any way possible when the Branch hosts Zone, Provincial or Dominion sports events.

6.  Must be in close contact with the Branch secretary regarding correspondance , and the Branch Manager regarding bookings and financial matters.

7.  His/her actions must be above reproach as he/she represents the Branch at the forefront.

8.  All financial matters must be approved by the Executive.
