1. The Membership Chairperson will receive all applications for membership. 2. He/she will see to the correctness of the facts contained in the applications and to thoroughly investigate the applicants character, evidence of eligibility and suitability for membership in the Legion and to report findings to the General Meeting. 3. He/she will notify applicants, approved for membership, when to appear for initiation. 4. He/she ensures every member initiated receives a copy of the General By-Laws, Branch By-Laws, Branch Clubhouse rules and badge. 5. He/she will ensure that all per capita tax is sent to command. 6. He/she will ensure that all files are kept up to date on all members. 7. To study and follow the membership manual. 8. To see that a joining package is on hand for new members.
